Terms and Conditions – Christian J Carey - CJC Carpentry
1. Scope of Work
- All work will be carried out as agreed in the written quotation or contract. Any changes or additions must be confirmed in writing and may incur additional costs.
2. Pricing and Payment
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
- A deposit may be required before work begins.
- Final payment is due upon completion of the agreed work, unless otherwise arranged.
- Late payments may incur interest or administrative fees.
3. Materials and Appliances
- Materials and appliances supplied by the fitter will be covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable.
- If the client supplies materials or appliances, the fitter is not liable for faults or delays caused by them.
4. Access and Preparation
- The client must ensure clear access to the work area and remove personal items or obstructions.
- Any delays caused by lack of access or site readiness may result in rescheduling or additional charges.
5. Guarantees
- All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the completion date.
- This guarantee covers installation faults but excludes wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by others.
6. Cancellation
- Cancellations must be made in writing.
- If cancelled within 7 days of the start date, a cancellation fee may apply to cover lost time or materials.
7. Liability
- The fitter holds appropriate public liability insurance.
- The fitter is not responsible for pre-existing issues or damage unless caused directly by the work undertaken.
8. Complaints
- Any concerns must be raised promptly and will be addressed professionally.
- Formal complaints should be submitted in writing within 14 days of completion.
